Thanks for your questions but I don’t have any favorite Selenium resources on top of my head right now to share with you. One of the reasons is because I’m not interesting Selenium at the moment and I’m not good at Selenium either. I learned some, but it’s very basic.
However, if I were you, I would check out YouTube and find selenium related trainings from there. Videos will help you see, understand and practice better especially in automated test.
You said you have “limited knowledge in C++ and Java”, I’m not sure how limited you are, but this worries me a little bit. This is because automation is more about software development (you will have to write code) than software testing. Automation testing is a completely different world. In this world, you will have to write code > run your code > debug your code > fix your code > run again…but before that you have to design your framework etc. With that said, you will require a certain level of programming so that you can apply automated testing your project and run it effectively. However, If you just want to get familiar with it, your “limited knowledge” sounds fine to me.
Selenium is a rising star and I think you are right when you choose to learn it. I need to learn it too 😀
