If all job require experience how can i get a job, Ex: I am a manual tester, and now a want to become a auto tester but i don’t have experience. So, how can i change a job if almost require experience.
I share your pain. However, if you look at the problem from employer’s point of view, you will see that having someone with hands-on experience to start the job is much more reasonable than someone without or little experience.
That said, the only thing you have to do is to earn experience or prove you are quick learner.
Here are some suggestions:
*In your question, you said that you have no automation experience. You can start learn automation. I’m not sure how strong you are with programming, but you can start with Selenium tool with Python language. The reason I suggest this is that there are tons of tutorials you can find online or you can easily find support when needed.
You will feel a bit overwhelmed at the beginning and you may give up. To avoid this, I suggest you can start something small such as playing record and playback first, then trying automate a simple scenario like login/logout your Gmail etc.
*Whatever you do, be consistent and sustainable. The world is full of lazy people who always want to achieve great things without spending time and effort to learn, practice and do.
*Find a forum and start asking question there. Don’t be shy or feel stupid when asking question. I recommend LinkedIn group because I’ve learned many new things from experts there. I also suggested some other resources to learn testing in my recent post.
Hope it helps. If you have more questions, feel free to ask.
