Tester, are you an Optimist or Pessimist?

Recently, there's an interesting discussion in uTest forum about "Pessimists make the best testers" ( http://forums.utest.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5888&start=20). Below is from the OP:
"A pessimist is a person who anticipates undesirable outcomes and who focuses on the problems in a given situation. Many testers take pride in their ability to foresee these problems and break things. Are people who believe that things can always be broken the best at testing?"

So my question is as a tester, you think you are an optimist or pessimist?

    Look like pessimist can help us become better tester. Please also remember one of goal of the tester is to find defect and being pessimists can help us keep trying to find more defects.

    Sometimes I’m an optimist, sometimes I’m a pessimist. As optimist, I know that I have done enough testing and the application is ready to release. As pessimist, I know there are still uncovered defects in the system and I need to keep trying to find them

    @Charlene,

    You are right…to some extent. Well, I agree with you that one of the goal is to find defects. However, the other goals is to explore and test the system to provide the information about the system before releasing. We don’t have all the time in the world to test. It means that we need to know when to stop the testing and happily with releasing the products with unfixed defects 😀
