    Hi Tajana,

Sorry for late response. It’s not that I didn’t see your question and was late to respond. It’s just that I need time to think about what should I need to tell you. Man, it’s a tough question too.
How late is late? Late for what? what are you worrying to miss?

You are 39 and you were asking if you were too old for testing? Honestly, I have seen anyone getting started in software testing at the age of 39. I’m not sure how much time you need to learn the ropes and get advancement in your career paths. I’m not sure what problem you are trying to solve by choosing software testing, it’s hard to say if it’s the right move or not.

However, like people say “it’s never too late to start over”, you can always become someone you want to be. I don’t know how much you love testing or why you’d like to switch to software testing, but if you decide to move to software testing and you want it enough, you can always become a tester. Needless to say, you have a good background to get started.

I wrote a blog post how to become a software tester (you can read it here: https://asktester.com/how-to-become-a-software-tester/ ) to see if it can help. Anyway, I suggest you figure out why you choose software testing or in other words what problem you are trying to solve with software testing. If you can find answers to those questions, hopefully, I can help you better.

    Goodluck.
