   As a new tester with new job, I suggest the followings to you:

   1. Spend most of your time and effort to get familiar with your system under test. You can do that by reading specs. If you don’t have specs, you can ask your peers or your boss for that. If there’s no spec at all, you can play around with the system and ask for unclear things. The more you know about the system, the better you are when testing
   2. Go extra mile. If you want to go far, you need to go extra mile. It means that you should be willing to do job more than what you expected. E.g.: If you are assigned a task and when you completed it before deadline, you can ask for more work if you are still having bandwidth. Avoid saying “this is not my job”
   3. Get to know your team well. Spend your time with your team member and build a good rapport with them.
